What Pasqal Does

Pasqal is France's flagship quantum computing company and Europe's leading neutral-atom player. It was co-founded in 2019 by physicist Alain Aspect — who won the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics for his foundational experiments on quantum entanglement — alongside Georges-Olivier Reymond and researchers from the Institut d'Optique.

Its processors trap arrays of neutral atoms with optical tweezers and manipulate them with lasers. Neutral-atom systems scale to hundreds of physical qubits at room-temperature infrastructure (no dilution refrigerator) and excel at quantum simulation and optimization workloads. Pasqal has already delivered 100+ qubit systems to European HPC centers, including the Jülich Supercomputing Centre and GENCI/CEA in France.

In 2026 Pasqal announced it will go public via a business combination with Bleichroeder Acquisition Corp II at a valuation around $2 billion, expected to close in the second half of 2026 — which would make it one of the first neutral-atom companies on a US exchange.

Technology: Neutral atoms held in optical-tweezer arrays; 100+ physical qubits delivered to customers; room-temperature operation.
Roadmap: Scaling to 1,000-atom processors, with fault-tolerant logical-qubit systems targeted around the end of the decade.

Pasqal Stock FAQ

Can you buy Pasqal stock?

Not yet. Pasqal announced a SPAC business combination with Bleichroeder Acquisition Corp II expected to close in H2 2026. Until it closes, the SPAC shell trades; after closing, Pasqal will trade under its own ticker.

What is Pasqal's valuation?

The announced business combination values Pasqal at roughly $2 billion. Its last private round was a €100M Series B led by Temasek in January 2023.

What makes Pasqal different from IonQ or Rigetti?

Pasqal uses neutral atoms trapped by optical tweezers rather than trapped ions (IonQ) or superconducting circuits (Rigetti). Neutral-atom arrays scale to hundreds of qubits without cryogenics and are strongest at quantum simulation and optimization.

How can I invest in neutral-atom quantum computing today?

Infleqtion (INFQ) is the only neutral-atom pure-play currently listed on a US exchange. QuEra and Pasqal remain private/pre-close.
